TriOut Awards Explained

Like any good Location Based App, TriOut lets you check into locations as you travel around the Triangle. This is great for letting your friends know where you are, keeping track of where you’ve been, and letting the businesses you visit know you support them. TriOut also gives you awards for going out and checking in at different places.

We have awards for a variety of check in patterns. For example, on your 25th check in, you’ll get an award for being a regular user. If you check into a coffee shop 10 times, you’ll get a caffeine addiction award. Now with the new points system, we’ll be introducing awards for points as well.

There’s also a special honor for being the user who has checked in the most at a location. It’s called The Key, and you’re eligable to win it on your third check in at a single location. If you have The Key to a location, your name will be listed in the Details page of that location for all the other users to see. Be careful though, if you stop showing up regularly and someone else has more checkins than you, they’ll take The Key from you.

We’ve got a ton of awards to win; Caniac awards, Obsessed User awards, Apple Fanboy awards. You can see what awards and keys you’ve won by visiting your user page. Eventually we’ll have them available in app as well. All you need to do is remember to check in anywhere you go for a chance to win.

If you have any suggestions for cool awards, please let us know in the comments.
